Colin Peacock - Honorary Visiting Fellow, University of Leicester Group Strategy Coordinator, ECR Retail Loss

Colin is an Honorary Visiting Fellow at the University of Leicester, where he is a guest lecturer and a member of the School of Criminology external advisory board.

For the last 25 years, he has lead ECR Retail Loss, a platform for collaboration that seeks to find new imaginative ways to tackle the problem of retail loss through collaboration. Over 400 retailers and CPG’s participate in the group’s activities that include commissioning and publishing new research projects, regular in-person and online meetings and Innovation Challenges.

For thirty years, Colin worked for Procter & Gamble, in UK, European and Global positions in Marketing, Customer Development, Brand Protection and Retail Store Execution. Colin sits on the Logistics and Operations Management advisory board at the Cardiff Business School and is a governor at a primary school in North London.

Sarah Bird - Head of Local Services, NBCS

Sarah Bird is the Head of Local Services at the National Business Crime Solution (NBCS). With 19 years of experience in the field, Sarah has played a pivotal role in driving collaboration between businesses, police, and partner organisations to reduce crime and enhance safety in business communities.

Sarah’s career began with the North East Retail Crime Partnership, a regional business crime reduction hub she led for 10 years. During her tenure, she established several local business crime reduction partnerships that continue to serve and protect business communities to this day.

Since joining NBCS, Sarah has been instrumental in developing a range of services to support businesses in their fight against crime. Her most significant achievement is the creation of Connect Direct, which she has successfully developed from a concept into the fastest-growing service within the organisation over the past 2 years.

Sarah is passionate about driving positive change through collective action across sectors, addressing key threats to businesses, and reducing risks to front-line colleagues. She is also a Trustee of the NBCS Foundation, a registered charity that supports offender rehabilitation and aims to reduce reoffending and business crime.

Sarah’s leadership, innovation, and commitment to collaboration make her a key figure in advancing business crime solutions across the UK.

Andy Hind - Head of Online Fraud, NBCS

Andy is the Head of Online Fraud & Legal Services with the National Business Crime Solution.

With a career spanning over 30 years in the Aviation Security, Retail Loss Prevention & Fraud Investigation fields, Andy has extensive experience and expertise in mitigating risk and controlling loss through all omni channel means.

His Fraud managerial & operational roles have facilitated him in gaining that specialized capability that he is bringing to the Online Fraud area of the NBCS.

Andy is very keen to drive this part of the organisation forward to enlarge the users of our Claims Detect Online platform, improve our Fraud footprint to offer new opportunities to our members and encourage growth of our Civil Recovery services.

 

Tim Edwards - Chairman, NBCS

Tim Edwards has extensive experience in retail profit protection, having  successfully led teams across large businesses throughout his career.  Most recently he was Global Director of  Profit Protection for a for FTSE 100 business, with responsibility  for all security, stock control, accuracy, online fraud and shrinkage rates, in over 3500 retail stores across the world.  He has continued to support the industry through his role as Chairperson of the NBCS, over the last 7 years.
