The National Business Crime Solution (NBCS) is pleased to announce the addition of Legate Group as its newest associate member, bringing years of commercial investigation experience to its community.
Established in 2005, Legate Group is a commercial investigation company that specialises in motor finance theft and fraud. The company supports lenders in the financial services sector to locate stolen or missing vehicles where their clients have exhausted all viable means of recovering them. Legate is an intelligent choice for lenders seeking to locate their “off the grid” vehicles.
Authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and registered with the Information Commissioners’ Office, Legate Group are an Associate Member of the Finance Leasing Association (FLA) and British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (BVRLA).
Key personnel are members of the UK branch of the International Association of Auto Theft Investigators (IAATI).
The Legate team has significant experience in the civil and criminal processes relating to motor and asset finance theft and fraud investigation. Over 2.5 million vehicles per year are purchased by lenders for hire or leasing to customers. Inevitably, some of these agreements fall into arrears and are subsequently terminated. Of these, a significant number of vehicles are acquired by theft or fraud.
Increasingly vehicles unlawfully obtained on finance agreements are used to facilitate organised crime which impacts businesses across multiple sectors including retail. Through working with NBCS and other partners Legate Group continues to make a positive impact in the reduction of business crime.
Robert King, Business Development Manager at Legate Group Limited said “We are really looking forward to becoming Associate Members of National Business Crime Solution.
