Bognor Regis BID are the latest BID to join NBCS Connect, a nationwide local network of Business Improvement Districts, Business Crime Reduction Partnerships, shopping centres and parks helping businesses across the UK reduce crime and conflict locally.
In the heart of Bognor Regis lies a vibrant town centre where businesses want to prosper by providing a safe and welcoming place for people to work and visit. Bognor Regis BID began in 2018 with the mandate from their levy payers to reduce crime and help keep the town safe. Through the Bognor Regis Business Crime Reduction Partnership, managed by the BID, they have delivered on this commitment by investing in DISC, developing an exclusion programme and strengthening local relationships with police and other partners.
The BID has now taken further steps to develop the service for levy payers by joining NBCS Connect to ensure delivery of the BCRP remains effective, and positive outcomes are increased. By joining forces with NBCS, the BCRP becomes instantly connected to a national sharing infrastructure and receives dedicated support derived from a central delivery aimed at ensuring healthy business continuity and improved service delivery.
Bognor Regis BID Co-ordinator Heather Allen, said “We’re delighted to be working with NBCS as we develop the Business Crime Reduction Partnership, knowing that our members will benefit from the links and connections the NBCS are able to make across the wider area.”
Sarah Bird, NBCS Connect said “Businesses within the area will benefit from additional information and an even stronger tool kit to deal with crime and disorder within their premises. NBCS already work with a number of BIDs and BCRPs in the South East and this new partnership is a great and welcome addition to this network. We are thrilled to welcome Bognor Regis BID into the Connect network and very much look forward to working with Heather and the team.”
